An excellent film depicting what REAL FRIENDSHIP is and each one getting to feel good reward for it despite of the hard work. These values seem to be missing so much in our present society. The house set on fire - did not expect but it added another dimension to the story. Well done and well acted.

Lead characters well acted. Children v good too. Dame Harriet (Walter) could have had better dialogue. A whimsical piece with doses of reality.

Very engaging. The brooding presence of the abusive partner created immense dramatic tension, effectively broken at the end. A clever & compelling film.

Most engaging. Great child actresses.

Expectedly tough watch, a little simplistic in parts - I know that in truth the reality for most women is far worse, and never had lucky-breaks and fortunate benefactors. But the story must be told in some way, so this must be so. We must hold on to the hopeful message.
