Brilliant plot progression but disappointing ending - she should have done the shift to prove her friendship!
5
Film showing a hard side of life but no one wants to feel exploited.
5
Moving and honest - a very powerful experience.

Really excellent in every way. I could really relate to the protagonist. I have not worked on a ferry but I have in a supermarket. I have pushed a 'beast' and on occasion cleaned the loos. I have definitely been present at customer service talks like that.
5
Brought out lots of different emotions. Was funny, touching & thought provoking. Very good acting. Really enjoyed it!
5
The class divide will still be there for ever, may be! Worlds apart. Great film. Superb acting.
5
Wonderful story/film - thoroughly enjoyed it. So different from anything I have ever seen. Very entertaining also. Great human elements. I often travel that route and wondered many times about the life of these people. Now I know.

J'adore les films francais! Beautiful film - great story. Painful for everyone when they found out who Binoche really was! Those tough working class girls, quite justifiably, felt utterly betrayed.
5
Brings to life the hardship and struggle of people in working class. What is it like to be in a privileged position to have choices. Also betrayal of friendships.
5
Excellent film. Well acted - reality of minimum wage exposed. Exploitation that we do little about.

A real eye opener as to the situation of an undercover journalist - 'Between Two Worlds' is a very apt title.
5
Good to see life from a different perspective.
5
Moving but ultimately quite sad. I wonder if she made any difference in the end? What a hard life!
5
A France we seldom see & rarely think about.
5
A lovely film about shitty jobs. How all people should be respected.
5
Excellent film - did for cinema audiences what the book intended to do. Moral problem exposed at the end.
5
Very enjoyable and moving. Sad also.
5
Interesting topic. Beautifully filmed - brilliant character acting.
5
I always enjoy films that present the 'other' side of life - thank you.
5
Makes one appreciate what we have & what a struggle it is for some.
5
Another excellent film. Sensitive and convincing. Excellent actors & filming. Sad the 2 worlds will never meet.
5
Very powerful film - reflects reality very well. The divide has not changed in over a century. Two worlds apart.
5
Great story of our time. Very well acted. No simple solution to capitalism or communism.
4
The dilemma of qualitative research & undercover investigation - challenging. 'First comes last, last come first'. Having been a hospital cleaner - it's an accurate account - always more camaraderie amongst people with little!
4
This was a really interesting film - beautifully acted and very moving. It poses several questions that we all need to ask ourselves - what is the truth? What is a lie? Is it about the spoken word? Very enjoyable.

OK, didn't like ending. Rest of film was good.
4
Interesting film about French unemployment - genuinely entertaining.
4
I wanted to enjoy this more - a good concept for a story line but too long winded. However, it got the message across.
4
Excellent. Thought provoking. It begs the question: What is to be done? (as Lenin said.)
4
Un tres bon film! Different & interesting. Merci beaucoup!
4
A disturbing and thought provoking film. What good did she really do?
4
Interesting, depressing, made me feel quite exhausted! So well done - & horribly realistic, I'm sure.
4
Very human story line, which makes you think about all the people we take for granted. Well acted.
4
A skilful balance of pathos and gritty reality. Very good indeed.
4
I enjoyed it. Not sentimental. Showed you need to be mindful of everyone, whatever their lot in life.
4
Excellent story. Unusual xxx. Very enjoyable. Something I'd never have chosen to watch.
4
Strong social messages but understandably so slow.
4
Fascinating - I would have liked the last 2 minutes to have been different.
4
I can understand the writer doing her job though I guess some of the ladies won't be able to see it this way.
4
Interesting & thoughtful film. I quite enjoyed it.
4
Interesting film - not sure if I enjoyed it or not. Much social commentary with an intriguing ending.
4
It's a dilemma for a writer betraying confidences but otherwise the story is not told. Very good film. Enjoyable. Have used the ferry many times so was more poignant.
4
Slow presentation & I wondered where it was going. However, afterwards reading the guide I got it! Good acting & quite true to reality as I have travelled on ferries frequently in the past. I enjoyed it.
4
An interesting film, almost like a documentary, showing a world we scarcely know or think about. The film title was very apt - hard to make friends when you're living a lie! But the camaraderie between the cleaners was heart-warming.
3
Interesting with some great cameo performances but no real grittinesss, Ken Loach’s I am Daniel Blake is a moving call to action on a similar topic with more reality and depiction of injustice. This felt like a weak shadow.
3
Bit slow. Didn't think it went anywhere.

A little on the slow side!

Good cast. Subject matter not interesting/entertaining enough to hold the film. Very abrupt ending.
3
Rather slow - very strange subject but very well executed & a moving ending.
