Lovely film, such a feel good movie for a Monday evening. Lovely team at Fleet Film Festival just working hard to give us a great evening- they even provide cushions- which I didn’t realise until the end 😏🤣🤩 |

It was all seeming a little obvious until the dress went up in flames. A nice ending for a nice film. Harmless & charming. |

A modern Cinderella story, light and frothy. But nevertheless, charming and amusing. 'True possession is proved by giving.' |

Lovely, gentle, romantic & nostalgic film, with great performances. Whimsical but with positive message. Wonderful Dior clothers - a glimpse into the world of haute couture. |

The dresses ('frocks') were the best part of this film. Lesley Manville excellent as ever. |

A feel good film in these sad times but lacking in depth. |

Old-fashioned feelgood movie set in mid-50s, could have been made then: "It's a Wonderful Life" remade by Ealing Studios, but none the worse for that. Unexpected choice among Fleet Film's usual arthouse fare. Familiar theme: a Good Person goes about doing Good Things and thereby brings out the best in everybody else. Well written and acted. Almost everyone is a caricature, but solid entertainment nonetheless. |
