A gorgeous movie and a real treat for both the eyes and the heart. Yes it was long but that gave the time and space to explore the themes along the way, and it was worth the wait. Best one so far this year, well done selection committee!

5
Great film; evocative, timeless & insightful. Wonderfully shot, but annoyingly indulgent to be shot in a square ratio - I wanted the landscape.
5
Lovely scenery! Good story line but a bit 'slow' and I lost the theme as the actors' ages confused me then but I got back into it again and enjoyed it.
5
What a brilliant film. Great story, well acted, well filmed. Wonderful. And stirred my love of the mountains. Great soundtrack too. Good choice.
5
Long but excellent and very moving. The spare dialogue allowed us to fill in the gaps and feel what what was happening. A poem/ode to real friendship - loved it.

Superb sparing. Truly deep emotionally. Technically brilliant. Thanks for choosing this movie.

Fabulous scenery & wonderful cinematography. A beautiful story of a young man's redemption through the power of friendship and nature. But at the same time it didn't shy away from the harsh realities of life in the mountains and the difficulties men often have with communicating their true feelings.
