5	I need to think about it all. I'm sure it was full of metaphors. I need to work them out. The scenery was wonderful. Lots to think about. I did enjoy the humour in the early part.

4	A moving story about a poor and isolated community where there is nothing to think about, nothing to do except drinking, gossip and casual violence. Except, ironically, music. The events were extreme, the 'quarrel' ridiculous. My sympathies were all with Pádraic. But great performances.
3	Certainly dark but not humorous. Such a sad storyline outcome including arson (setting light to and burning down a cottage), potential suicide (death by drowning), self harm (chopping off fingers), animal cruelty (choking a mini-donkey dead with a chopped-off finger), and more...
