As a teacher myself, this film touched my soul. It is a roller coaster of a progression, where your students of any age take you to highs and lows you can hardly imagine! It is the most rewarding work I have ever done and you do touch the future. A great film start to 2024!
5
Perfect choice for a film club - thought provoking - very much a change of pace and scenery. A simple story well told containing a lot of depth without feeling the need to smack you round the face !!

A lovely film. And who knew the Bhutanese had so much in common with us; they have yaks in their classrooms dropping dung; we have Education Ministers in Whitehall talking...(add your choice of noun here)
4
Slow and simple, like the way of life in Lunana - but ultimately heart warming. A film about the clash between the traditions but gradually he is seduced by the kindness of the people, their pure hearts. Will he return to Bhutan? - that is the question.
