Very clever twists. Nice the way the plot twists were threaded together in the same way a suit is pieced together. |

More a play than a film but Mark Rylance mesmerising as always. Not sure I got all the plot twists - very clever - I wouldn't like to take an exam on it. Very, very good. |

Magisterial. The wonderful, slow close-up shots of Mark Rylance's face were quite awe-inspiring. And Mme La Fontaine & her entourage were such a gloriously witty surprise. |

Superb acting & timing - many ominous pauses. Surprising ending - so claustrophobic but added to tension. |

A complete film: clever, funny, violent. What more is there? |

Mark Rylance putting in his usual solid performance with hints of Hitchcock and Tennessee Williams in a dark, constrained and at times, claustrophobic, airless setting. There was an engaging set of twists and “threads” to be followed and unravelled right to the final scenes. An entertaining watch. |

Very well acted & great plot. Never thought I'd enjoy sewing so much recently. |

A film way out of my comfort zone, nevertheless, though lots of the plot must have passed me by, I found it totally absorbing & enjoyed it more than I expected. |

A nice change to see something without agendas - issues - racism - religion - gender or general modern day angst!! |

Totally absorbing. I wasn't really sure what was going on most of the time but I think I got the general gist of it. Off home to read the explanation on line. |

Would have been a '5' but for the slightly hackneyed 'he's not really dead' bit. Good fun - lots of twists. |

Not my sort of film, but it did get better as it went on. A lot of the time, I couldn't understand the American language!! |

Brilliant acting by Mark Rylance but I didn't enjoy the film - so much violence and bad language & evil. |
