When Captain Neuville goes to war, he leaves behind fiancée Pauline. With no letters arriving, Pauline’s sister decides to write, pretending to be Neuville. When Neuville returns, how can he live up to the stories in her letters? A rip-roaring costume farce, back by popular demand.

Thoroughly entertaining! A loveable rogue and a smart lady. A spoof on the conventional 'hero' film - a nice bit of nonsense! |

A mad, but fun, film. Good acting, lovely costumes. We knew the storyline must be mad! (And it was!) Fiction is fiction! |

Just what was needed to lighten the angst leading up to the General Election! Did you have fore knowledge of the date? Did you put a bet on 4th July? Smiley face. |

Had to take it with a large pinch of salt & ignore the fact that I didn't like the characters but overall I enjoyed it - I laughed a good deal. Very glad I came. |
