Samuel is found dead from a fall from the second floor of the chalet where he lives with his wife Sandra and son Daniel. Sandra is suspected of murder and the trial places great strain on the mother-son relationship. This extremely well-constructed drama will keep you guessing.

Excellent story, very well acted & presented on film. A boy's love for his mother came through. Could have been a bit shorter. |

Superb acting from Sandra Huller & child. However, would not wish to be tried in French court. Facts?! |

Was there any French film company NOT mentioned at the start of the film? Excellent film. |

An extremely gripping and moving film. It was fascinating to witness a French trial, which seemed quite brutal at times. A traumatic experience for the child but he dealt with it with amazing maturity. |

Superb acting - the young actor playing the son was excellent. The cinematography was interesting - lots of hand held camera - giving a sense of 'reality'. The intensity was almost overwhelming at times. |

Interesting film, well acted - just missing a final flashback as to what really happened! |

Who did it? An interesting film leaving a lot of time for discussion. Brilliant acting. |

The film was overly long as it felt that the narrative was far too slow in revealing the intricacies of the case. That said, it masterfully manipulated perceptions, and I repeatedly questioned the truth as it was portrayed through the testimony of witnesses. A great whodunnit with many loose ends for discussion. |

Maddeningly over-loud to start with - the trailer was as loud so it wasn't simply part of the story. Not a pleasing film; no resolution! And irritatingly inauthentic lawyers & court procedure! |

Very confusing at the start but got better. |

No blunt instrument? No forensic evidence? What a strange judicial systems. |
