Renowned film director Lola is hired to produce a film which focuses on two estranged brothers played by distinguished actors Félix and Iván. Through increasingly bizarre tests, Félix and Iván’s rivalry becomes evident. A hilarious skewering of the movie making business.

Hilarious satire of the film industry really enjoyed this

Weird and wonderful - what an extraordinary idea for a film. But not for everyone?

Excellent film & its critique of the film industry. Penelope Cruz was superb. Loved the Dali Nod!

Fun & thought provoking.
4
Strange, dramatic, intriguing, different. But it worked.
4
Very interesting with a different slant.
4
Very strange film. Love Penelope Cruz.
4
Very unexpected but most interesting. Kept me wondering what would come next.
4
Weird. Intense. Funny. Unpredictable. Auditorium way too cold!
4
Had its moments. Slightly eccentric: a parody/satire of the film industry/actors.
4
Enjoyable. Unspeakably awful bunch of people made a great satire.
4
Very entertaining, very original film. Three very good actors having a ball! A bit too intellectual at times but I enjoyed it.
4
An oddball 'take' on the film industry that precariously trod a line between humour and irritation.

Rather slow and tedious start. Theme of ruthless ambition addressed in original fashion. Not really sure of the main point - 'Pride comes before a fall', I guess. Penelope Cruz - great performance, beautiful as ever!

What a strange film! Too angry for my liking.
3
- and my vote for the best acting goes to the ginger cat!
3
Very challenging topic. Great acting of 3 people.
3
Crazy!!
3
A conceit on all levels.
3
It was fine.
3
Best bit was the amazing architecture, unfortunately.
3
VG, entertaining but not my bag.
3
Not as funny as anticipated having seen the trailer.
3
It was a bit odd for a comedy.
3
Enjoyed it.
3
Satire to the film industry. The scenes reminded me of Almodovar's style.
3
Very different, funny in parts. Acting Life becomes life or death in this case.
3
Quite clever and witty but it could have achieved the same goal in a shorter timeframe (90 mins perhaps).
3
Not my favourite but good acting and a fascinating finish.
3
I found it basically tedious but there were enough engaging bits distributed through it to keep me interested. Very well acted.
3
There was a good deal of pretentious nonsense in this film, but the acting was fantastic & kept me hooked.
3
Hmm. Enjoyable in parts. Funny sometimes. Boring sometimes. Too long. It will stick in my mind . What did it mean? I have no idea.
3
I so wanted to like it... but disappointingly self-indulgent. Could have been shorter & would have been better for it. A shame...
3
A film about egos!! Amusing in places, but rather slow in general - didn't really engage me... but original - and Penelope Cruz is always worth watching!
3
Entertaining in parts it poked fun at the egos and absurdities of the film industry, but its clever premise occasionally faltered under the weight of its own indulgence. The humour hits the mark at times but the pacing dragged and the sharp wit doesn’t always sustain the story’s momentum.
2
Disappointing, tonally very flat, pretentious & utterly predictable. Waste of Cruz & Banderas.
2
Humorous in parts but rather slow in between. Too long for so little action.
2
Very disappointing. What was the point.
1
Didn't like it at all. Far too much introspection - too much about unpleasant personalities. Didn't like them or what they did. Awful.
1
Weird. Beautiful woman. Terrible story line. Thank goodness I am not in the 'luvvy' world.
1
The rock was the highlight of the film for me.
1
Gone from watching a great film to a total waste of time!
1
What a load of rubbish.
1
Not my sort of thing.
