Thought it was very well done. Such a wonderful teacher & so little support.
5
Great film, superb lead actress. Even better on 2nd viewing.
5
A gripping film, the tension in the classroom pulsating. Can one pupil destroy a teacher and/or class.
5
Very clever film, aligns with Southgate speech for Dimbleby lecture.
5
Very tense.
5
V thought provoking. Subtitles a bit low to see over heads!
5
Brilliant. Brilliantly acted. Totally engaging but wish there had been a conclusion.
5
Very tense with the right outcome.
5
Thought provoking, intense and involving. As an ex-teacher, I felt her pain.
5
Interesting, different. Shame that the women sat behind me kept talking!
5
Excellent acting and story line. I recalled in mid 40's my Infant/Junior school and we had some very awkward teachers and even more awkward pupils. Right after WW2 most boys were in work though!
5
A fascinating and gripping film. Frightening to see how things can spiral out of control in such a situation. The way the teacher stood by Oskar was admirable. The ending was ambiguous - had Oskar won or was it a peace offering?
5
Really splendid build up of tension. Very sensitive portrayal of how claustrophobic a school can be when there is a serious incident that not all people can be party to. Brought back some bad memories - I'm so glad I've retired!
5
I was shocked by the familiarity school children have towards adults. Who wants to be a teacher these days? Very good film but not a pleasure to watch.
5
Excellent. I was on the edge of my seat. How easily a situation can change. What a good teacher she is, still standing by her violent student. A reminder of how demanding it is to be a teacher.
5
Exceptionally well constructed film & v. well acted. But frustrating and depressing to watch a well meaning system get things so very wrong.
5
Heaven help teachers if that's what they have to cope with. Beware of snowball effect!
5
Totally engrossing. Very well acted. So many incidences of people not really being aware of the can of worms that they were dealing with.
5
Having been a teacher for 40 years I found this riveting. I could understand how this came about. Lead actress was v. good.
5
Horrible flashbacks to my time in school. But it provoked a lot of discussion so must have been good!
5
Shows how simple things can get out of control. How lies/mistruths can sway people. NEVER TRUST A TORY!
5
Compelling. Brilliant film. Uncomfortable viewing!

5
Best one this season.
5
Thought provoking - fascinating.
4
Great story and good example of how things escalate out of control. Not sure how to work out the ending. Good introduction and another great choice.
4
Interesting, thought provoking and the worst nightmare situation for a teacher in that situation... but I need to go away and think about it. Where is the sequel? What happened next?
4
Excellent acting. An interesting problem but it wasn't solved at all. Didn't agree with how the school handled it - from the students' or teacher's point of view. What did it achieve? Oskar and all the class suffered as did the teacher. Her career was ruined. No solution or improvement from any point of view.

A thought provoking film of the usual power & politics.

Compelling and tense but without a conclusion.
4
Gripping and sad.
4
Good tension. Not really resolved.
4
Confusing end!
4
V. Tense. Unresolved issues.

4
Thought provoking.

Who'd be a teacher?
4
Very glad I'm not a teacher today.
4
Speechless.
4
So did she do it!
4
Brutal, sadly reflection of real life & relationships. Unsatisfactory ending.
4
Great acting and storyline. Would have liked to see a better end to the story.
4
The film manages to show the difficulties in schools, both the teachers and students - great film.
4
So what was the end? So easy to get out of control with no solution.
4
Appreciated the shorter length - very realistic & natural acting.
4
Surprisingly terrifying. Couldn't work who was at fault or who was worse - the teachers/(staff) or the students!
4
So interesting. The emotions of all the actors were so apparent. I would have liked a conclusive ending, not just ejecting the pupil. I felt his brain was bigger than many of the class.
4
Surprisingly gripping – I didn’t expect to be so drawn in. The tension builds quietly and steadily but the ending was very abrupt, leaving the viewer with too many loose ends to resolve for my liking.
3
Sympathy for the teacher but hard to believe the children's behaviour... They were more reasonable than I would expect!! And the teachers let the kids down a bit!!
3
It felt little like a filmed play and I found it cinematically clunky. An interesting premise, but marred by a lack of visual enticement. A good & relevant story but could have been a better movie.
3
Interesting to see how German High School operates. Difficult themes, well portrayed.
3
Quite gripping, lots of interesting ideas & conflicts - but a frustratingly hurried ending.
3
A strange film. Afraid I didn't really understand it & had so many loose ends. Not like any school I've experienced.
3
Frustrating on so many levels and then unresolved.
3
Good acting but a vaguely unsatisfactory ending.
3
Good acting but lack of conclusion - unsatisfactory! Enjoyed the German!
3
A little bit dragged out.
3
Bit sad really. The teacher had an awful job, the school was grim!
3
Implausible.
3
All seemed a bit unlikely.
3
Unsatisfactory ending.
3
Weird ending!
3
Slow start but a good story in the end.
3
Unresolved.

What a strange ending - if you can't think how to solve a situation in a film - just stop then! I didn't like it though found it quite engrossing. Bad feel.
2
Monotonous pace issue raised not xxx. Certainly not nail biting - rather disappointing in fact.

What was that film all about?
