African American classical pianist Don Shirley hires nightclub bouncer Tony Vallelonga to drive him on a concert tour of the deep south, armed with “The Negro Motorist Green Book” guide to travel during segregation. Poignant moments in a feel-good road movie.

I love this film. Although Tony & Don seem to be so different when they meet, it becomes apparent that they have qualities in common which enable them to support each other & come to love one another. Very heart warming. |

Excellent, heart warming, feel good, life affirming. Also quite shocking in places to be reminded of how things were at that time in the USA. Loved it! |

Amazing film about friendship & the awful treatment of negroes in USA in the 60s. It was a joy to watch & I could easily see it again. Both actors awesome - the music was toe tapping. |

A very thought provoking film. So well acted. Depicted the divisions in the USA so well, and much still persists. |

Good movie. A little contrived from the scene in the last bar but still worth watching a 3rd time! |
