Amusing, thought-provoking, poignant, some parallels to UK society & mental health but USA system very different so hope people don't generalise - btw, dance is often used in therapy!
5
Very entertaining, despite the 'expletive overload'! Good old Hollywood happy ending. Also a great plug for the therapy derived from dancing!
5
Very powerful, tough to watch at times because I empathised so much with what Pat and his family were going through. But it was a lovely ending and ultimately uplifting. And Jennifer Lawrence richly deserved her Oscar!
5
Best film I've watched her! Thank you!
5
Type of film that one warmed to as the story unfolded. Amazing that a film about mental illness could be so entertaining with an assortment of dysfunctional family and friends. Good to hear the audience literally roaring with laughter. Very funny film and the dance scenes and music so good. Left with a smile on ones face as a result of a predictable happy ending. Sad about so much bad language though. Yet again, congratulations to the committee on your choice of films.

5
Maurice, you were right - leaving with a smile!
4
A group of mentally unstable characters, not just the main ones, all dealing with their issues in different ways. A happy ending unlike the school syllabus.

Nice, feel good and great acting. Bit cavalier about bipolar but needed it as plot

In places it needed subtitles. Slow pace at times. Looked at mental illness well.
3
Fun - but not quite hitting the spot for me.
3
I had a good laugh (a little bit predicatable though). Wouldn't mind subtitles
3
Quite good, loved the dancing & ending was good.
3
Entertaining enough
3
An entertaining film, somewhat confused by American football references
3
Too sacharrine. Too ordinary US fare. A serious subject matter treated frivilously
2
Disappointing. I didn't like it. As far as I was concerned, there was too much swearing.
2
Typical American. Couldn't understand a lot of the talk.
2
Sentimental & silly

Not my kind of film
