Very clever acting on a make believe Russia.

Bleak but absolutely gripping. Train journeys nearly always make for good films.

Not planning a winter holiday on Murmansk but loved the film - subtle portrayal of personalities.

очен хорошо (very good!) An unusual film but very atmospheric and well acted. I've been on those Russian sleeper trains and they are a very interesting experience in every respect! You do need that vodka! Thank you for choosing it.

Slow film. I expected a climax at some point but no!

Interesting xxx You can't judge the book by its cover. The alcoholic turned out to be a doer and a good human.

Not for me.
3
A long movie with few words. Typical Russian epic story. Good for my Russian. Good acting but not exactly my favourite.
3
Authentic - Eccentric - Just a little too slow.

A bit like the Curate's Egg - 'Good in parts!' Scenically very good - but I couldn't really arouse much interest in the characters or the plot.
3
I felt that the film rather ran out of puff, once the two main characters left the train at Murmansk. The last 30 mins meandered a little
3
Bit long - loved the atmosphere & characters.

Slow & depressing. Good acting.

Russia is grim but I knew that already. Other than that not sure what the point was?
2
Most disappointing. I was expecting the theme to be much more developed and deeper. I got fed up with the constant bad language (he hardly spoke any other words!) I do wish she had taken a hairbrush!!
2
Didn't go much on this. What strange rock formation. A bit of a let down. Chap quite polite on train. Could have been dangerous for a woman on her own.
2
Very disappointing. Like watching paint dry.
2
Not my cup of tea nor my glass of vodka. Good acting.
2
Rather slow. No wonder Ukrainians don't want to join Russia.
2
Boring - What a sad life she led - But some feelings at the end.
2
Sorry - slow. Didn't go anywhere. Compulsory bit of LGBTQI 'interest'.
