A gripping true life thriller which adeptly shone the spotlight on society’s view of what makes for “a good victim”. We saw Maureen’s battle for justice through the misogynistic lens applied to a woman’s “permitted” response to repeated trauma, and what can happen when we dare to have a voice. Great choice thank you

Now we xxx Maureen Kearney - a very brave woman.
5
Excellent film. Shocking. Loved it.
5
Compelling throughout.
5
Very difficult to rate this true story. Very powerful film. More educational than entertaining.
5
Well done, very moving & emotional. Sad. What a world we live in!
5
Tense & powerful.
5
Mind blowing.
5
Excellent choice. Riveting & challenging to the less courageous.
5
A superb, fabulous film so well enacted. Just as it goes.
5
A very hard watch. It illustrated how hard it is to be believed if you have a tale to tell. It also illustrated how hard it is for the investigators to know what to believe.
5
Very well told story of a frightening true story. That EDF etc control so much of our power is a dreadful realisation. Well acted and structured to keep us intrigued to the end.
5
Excellent film - very taut direction. It will stay with me a long time - Isabelle Huppert absolutely superb!
5
Probably the best film I've seen at Fleet Film this year. So powerful and wonderful acting.
5
My sympathies with Maureen! A good showing of how men dominated situations are the xxxx Enjoyed it!
5
Extremely good film. Powerful & very thought provoking. How shocking!
5
Provoking film and probably the best film seen so far this year.
5
I find it incredible that the scandal overlapped our Post Office scandal - who only sent people to prison. On a par with Mr Bates.
5
Would give it 10/5. Magnificent role for Huppert and a truly devastating story. Nightmare and reality.
5
French culture & xxxx xxx is different to UK - however it reflects the issues of power or lack of, that women have in UK still. Good film.
5
Gripping! Marvellously sustained, suspense, & marvellous acting by Isabelle Huppert, with her trademark silences & timing. (Sad that in the introduction her name was not pronounced as a (famous) French name.)
5
Powerful and moving picture of what can go on that's covered up.
5
Challenging view of French establishment. If true, an interesting twist to UK & Finland.
5
Very good film. I would like to have a musical film for a change, please. We need cheering up!
5
Outstanding - so grateful Fleet Film presents films like this - we must not accept without questioning.
5
Very good indeed. A documentary and a 'policier' - what's not to like. Amazing how calm & quiet she was. Excellent how it was constructed to make you believe her, then not believe her before being convinced again to believe her. Thank goodness for the woman police officer.
5
Excellent choice - well done. Suspense, well acted but shows how powerful state is and whistleblowers heroes. And it won't change! More films like this - gritty. Makes you think more than Eurovision results!!!
5
Superb performance by Isabelle Huppert. Extreme issues, but many women working in a male-dominated environment will recognise certain attitudes!!!
5
Excellent but, oh dear, the subtitles against a white background. I have watched just one film when the individual letters were either black or white depending on the background. It was very much needed here in a 'wordy' film.
5
Wow! That was powerful. Brilliant acting. Sadly, all too real for every woman daring to speak truth to power.
5
A fabulous film, tense, upsetting, which illustrates how difficult it is to be a whistleblower when the powers-that-be are ranged against you. And also shows the injustices of the justice system in how it deals with female 'victims'. She was a very strong brave woman, but they nearly managed to destroy even her.

Welcome to the real world!
5
C'était formidable. Une triomphe. La meilleure cette année.
5
Great performance by IH. Frightening to think we still don't know what really happened.
5
A parable of the reality of contemporary international business overriding good morals.
5
Shame about the subtitles.
5
Dramatic and the bad guys actually won! Mon dieu.
5
Very strong & Impressive.
5
Ms Huppert was absolutely amazing. Her performance was totally authentic. Wow!
5
Gripping!

Complicated! I was totally on Maureen's side, intimidated being a woman. Powerful xxx.
4
Enjoyed the lead character's calm strength. Very good representation of the power companies can have.
4
An interesting film. Well acted but occasionally the subtitles in white couldn't be read against the background.
4
Thought provoking and strongly acted. Worrying to think what could have happened.
4
A bit slow to start - then really disturbing & compelling - terrible victim blaming & intimidation.

Not an easy watch & very thought provoking - traumatic (particularly as a true story).

Thought provoking. Brilliant main actress.
4
It was so visceral and dark and it opens our eyes to a reality we don't want to think about.
4
Good, exciting, amazing actress.

Difficult to follow.

The subtitles were difficult to read at times.

I last saw Isabelle Huppert in 'The Lacemaker' circa 1974 - she was wonderful in this film too. I loved seeing her outfits! Even though I found the plot very difficult. Loved Alto (the dog).
3
Incredibly pertinent but disturbing. An interesting & current film with incredibly dark themes.
2
Clunky. I. Huppert wooden.
