Following a terrorist attack on a bistro, Mia is struggling with her trauma. Unable to recall the events of the night, she returns to the bistro where she meets and befriends fellow survivors, while tracing one unknown person who helped her on the night. Powerful and quietly compelling.

I found Paris Memories a powerful and affecting film. The opening attack is sudden and shocking, but the real focus is on what comes after, how one woman tries to piece together her memories and her life. I thought the film sensitively and powerfully explored memory, grief and the need for meaning after something unimaginable. |

Well chosen film. So heart warming. Brings home what a traumatic event can cause in everyday lives of people, how they deal with it. Thoroughly well acted. |

From the start to the finish it was gripping throughout. Superbly acted and I don't know how such an event could be captured. They did. |

Excellent film. Tense and emotional to the end. Actress who played Mia was brilliant. Beautifully put together - we were solving the puzzle with her. |

Excellent film. A potentially dangerous subject handled with sensitivity & care; an account of a different type of journey, well acted by all involved. |

Sensitive & compelling. One felt every moment with her. 'Painted' with as much sensitivity as the water lilies. An extraordinary exploration of trauma recovery. |

Harrowing, moving, but ultimately a fascinating insight into the psychology of someone who has experienced such horror. Is it better to remember or to forget? The impossibility of just resuming normal life, the desire to make sense of it all - and maybe find the 'diamond in the darkness'. |

We are all changed by our experiences but this film was a powerful portrayal of how some experiences are so huge that we can never be the same again or fit into our former lives. There was so much in this film - the lady who was so guilt ridden that she wanted to blame someone else for her actions, the young girl desperate to see the picture that was among one of the last things her parents saw and the need to find out what happened to someone you had shared what could have been the last moment for either of you. Amazing!! Thank you. |

Loved the pace of the film. Subject matter was not reflected in title. But a satisfying movie & deeper than expected. Good choice for us. Nothing of the terrorist - not needed. |
